Rim Tapes are not required on ANDOZA Hawk wheels.  

ANDOZA tubeless rims have further advantages over conventional rims. 

1. Tubeless Ready Rim and None-drilled holes on the rim bed.

2. Rim Tapes are not required.

3. ANDOZA hawk seamless rim bed is not drilled and therefore stiffer and rim strength highly enhanced. With the rim being absolutely airtight, it is possible to use a tubeless tire without tubeless milk, rim tapes, so we save some grams and rotation balance for races and the like.

    Tires mounted on wider rims don't burst as easily. Lower pressures, even a pound or two, do several beneficial things:

2. Running lower pressure on varied terrain actually reduces rolling resistance.

 The Hawk Tubeless Rims Advantages:  

1. No holes on the rim bed means that the rim is uniform at every point, free from stress points or zones of weakness channels.

2. For the clincher profiles no rim tapes are required any more, to the benefit of weight reduction and increase the reactivity of wheels and acceleration. 

3. It lowers wheel weight at the extreme outer edge of the rim resulting in lower rolling resistance and better performance. 

4. In traditional clincher rims set up, the rim tape creates friction and energy loss. But with the tubeless seamless rims set up, there is no frictional energy loss between the tire and tube because the rim tape is gone.

Rim-tape failure at a recessed spoke hole, and resulting puncture  

   Disadvantages of ordinary rim using rim tapes: 

1. As we know in traditional clincher rims set up, the rim tape creates friction and energy loss 

2. Using rim tape will have rim tape aging issues.

3. The rim tape is supposed to protect the tube from rim imperfections, sometimes it is not properly placed in the right position, and sometimes spoke ends can actually poke through the rim tape. Burrs and other sharp edges inside the rim can easily puncture tubes. 

4. If a rim has recessed spoke holes, the rim tape must withstand the air pressure in the tire.
